April 27, 2026 (Vancouver, BC) – The Victory Square Banner Program, an initiative honouring Canada’s Veterans and based annually in Vancouver, has returned for 2026. Orders are now open to the public, and can be placed online: https://legionbcyukon.ca/victory-square-banner-donations/

Spaces are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Banner orders can be placed from now until June 30, 2026.

Each banner will be proudly displayed in the City of Vancouver, including roadways leading up to Victory Square. Banners will remain up in the weeks leading up to Remembrance Day, as a tribute to those who have served. At this time, banners will remain the property of BC/Yukon Command to be used for future projects such as these.

The Victory Square Banner Program originated in 2024 to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Victory Square Cenotaph. For the past few years, photos of Canada’s Veterans have been featured on hundreds of banners in Vancouver throughout October and November, serving as powerful symbols of gratitude and remembrance. Last year, a total of 600 banners were displayed.

The Victory Square Banner Program Committee, a group of dedicated volunteers working in tandem with BC/Yukon Command of The Royal Canadian Legion, ANAVETS, and The Chinese Canadian Military Museum Society, aims to bring the program back every year for as long as possible.
